One prompt per UTC day

A daily drawing challenge that fits in ten minutes.

Everyone gets the same seeded prompt today. Start the timer, make a small sketch, and mark it complete to build a streak stored only in this browser.

Keep it sustainable

The goal is a repeatable sketch, not a finished illustration.

Use the same daily seed

The date is calculated in UTC, so today’s prompt is stable across refreshes and easy to compare with a friend.

Stop at a useful point

When the clock ends, keep going only if the drawing has energy. The timer never locks or closes your work.

Keep the streak local

Mark a challenge complete when you have drawn it. Recent dates stay in this browser without an account or public leaderboard.

A ten-minute drawing routine

Give every minute one job.

The daily prompt already limits the scene to a useful ten-minute scope. A simple sequence keeps the timer from turning into pressure and makes the finished page easier to read.

2

Minutes 0–2: place big shapes

Find the action line, main subject, and one large environment shape. Avoid details until the composition reads.

6

Minutes 2–8: explain the idea

Clarify the pose, expression, overlap, and only the props needed to make the prompt understandable.

2

Minutes 8–10: choose the focal point

Strengthen one edge, value, or detail area. Let the rest remain loose instead of polishing everything equally.

Why a shared daily seed?

One prompt makes practice easier to start and easier to compare.

The UTC date creates the same deterministic prompt for everyone that day. Refreshing does not help you hunt for an easier idea, but the prompt remains open enough for two artists to make completely different drawings.

The challenge resets at 00:00 UTC. Your completion streak is a private local record, not a competitive score.

Daily challenge FAQ

How the prompt, timer, and local streak work.

How is today’s daily drawing prompt selected?

The generator uses the current UTC date as a stable seed. Everyone opening the page on the same UTC day gets the same prompt.

Why is the daily drawing challenge ten minutes?

Ten minutes is long enough for a readable pose or compact scene but short enough to repeat most days. The timer can be paused, reset, or ignored after it ends.

Where is my drawing streak stored?

Completed dates stay in local storage in the current browser. No account, drawing upload, or public profile is required.

Can I do more than one drawing prompt per day?

Yes. Finish the shared daily prompt, then use the main generator for unlimited random drawing prompts with your own category, difficulty, and timer.
